Frequently Asked Questions

  • At typical physical therapy clinics, clients will be seen by a physical therapist for an initial evaluation. Subsequent visits may include seeing a PT for only 10-15 minutes, with the remainder of the session (which may not last an hour) carried out by an aide or assistant. These therapy extenders will often be supervising multiple patients at once.

At Resilience Physical Therapy, you will only be seen by a licensed Physical Therapist, who also has an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) advanced certification, for every visit (no aides/assistants/trainers). Each visit will be for a full hour. Studies have shown, OCS therapists are only surpassed by Orthopedic Surgeons in the diagnosis of musculoskeletal injuries. We believe this provides you with the highest level of individualized care. Resilience Physical Therapists have highly specialized credentials and training to address advanced, complex or niche issues. From advanced manual therapy techniques, strength and conditioning, to exercise prescription with a deeper understanding of how the body moves, our PTs have years of clinical experience to give you the care and expertise you’re looking for.

  • You do not need a physician’s referral before being seen. In fact, a lot of times you will save money if you don’t! We have extensive training in pain, injury, and rehabilitation, and know exactly when to refer out to another provider. Physicians may give you simple advice, but don’t have the expertise to navigate the road to getting you out of pain in a customized way. See the bio section for more

  • Most of our clients use their Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flex Spending Accounts (FSA). When setting up your profile, input your HSA or FSA debit card as your payment method. All major credit/debit cards, cash or check are also acceptable. Payment will be requested on your day of visit.

FSAs often expire in December, so make sure not to let your money go to waste!
